The first consultation – separation and divorce
The first consultation is an opportunity to:
provide an overview of your current situation
learn about your options moving forwards
workout a timeline for resolution
Before the meeting:
We will ask you to complete a detailed questionnaire. This saves time and is also a great way to prepare for a purposeful discussion.
During the meeting:
We will spend some time going over your responses to the questionnaire and then talk about the issues that are priority for you. This might be
legally binding agreements (sometimes known as consent orders), what to put in them and how much they cost;
opening a dialogue with your partner or spouse, where you don’t have an agreement;
divorce proceedings; or
how to separate your finances with the minimum of fuss and expense.
After the meeting
We will follow up this consultation with a written summary of our discussion and suggested next steps.
First consultations are usually booked for a one hour time slot.
If you feel you would benefit from an extended consultation you can book a longer appointment.
One hour first consultation – £100.
Per half hour extension – £50.
