Nicola Williams Solicitor

I am a solicitor who specialises in family law. If you want to know whether you need:

mediation or legal advice?

deed of trust or cohabitation agreement?

prenup or post nup?

separation agreement or consent order?

divorce or dissolution?

a will or a trust deed?

I can help you decide. I offer a 30 minute consultation completely free of charge.

The free consultation is online or over the phone. It is open to you wherever you live, as long as the legal issue can be dealt with in the jurisdiction of England or Wales.

Advice you can trust

It can seem daunting choosing a legal adviser, especially one to help with personal, family law issues.

Before you make that commitment you want to make sure you can get along with them and trust them to deliver a good service.

Over 30 years I’ve built a reputation for giving honest, practical family law advice.

Come and meet me and let’s see if I can help you too.

When free consultations are available

I’m happy to speak to you about your situation and let you know whether I can help, completely free of charge.

I offer a limited number of free consultations each week.

Generally speaking, free consultations are available on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons.

What you need to know

To book a free consultation

It must be the first time you have spoken to me about your case.

A free consultation may only be booked for a maximum of 30 minutes.

You will only be able to extend the consultation if I don’t have anyone else booked in immediately after you.

Any extended time will be chargeable as an options meeting (£75 per person for up to 30 additional minutes).

What can we discuss in 30 minutes?

If you are going through a divorce, 30 minutes is long enough to outline the procedure and explain what steps you need to take next.

If you need a will or a deed of trust or any other family type of agreement, 30 minutes is long enough to explain whether there are any benefits to you of having such a document.

It’s also long enough for you to get a feel for whether you’d like to work with me.

Online meeting

When you book a free consultation I will send you a link to your email address through which you will be able to access our meeting when it’s time for your appointment.

You don’t need to come to my office to see me as my free consultations are all online.

What happens if you change your mind?

All I ask is that you let me know so that I can offer the appointment to someone else.

There is no charge for cancellation. It is, after all, a free consultation.

What happens if you don’t show up?

Please let me know if you have made other arrangements or no longer need the appointment.

I only offer a limited number of free appointments each week and there are always other people I can offer your slot to.

There is no cancellation fee and I completely understand that plans change.
